A-B: Start your tape measure just slightly behind the shoulder blades. Measure from this point, coming forward across the front of the chest, to the center of the breast bone at point B. Then bring the tape measure back up around the opposite side of the chest to the starting point A.
C-D: Look at your dog from the side and determine the deepest point of the chest. Take a measurement starting on the spine and going all the way around the circumference of the dog under the chest and back up to the starting point.
B-D: From the breastbone at point B on the front of the chest, measure under the body to point D.
